Every New Year, without fail, I overplan my resolutions.

I aim high – too high – for weight loss goals, for gym training motivation, for making and saving money and for everything else. I make a list of books I want to read and of films I want to watch, map out all the new restaurants to try and the old restaurants to revisit.

An insane amount of vision boards and mind maps.

Only to be forgotten by February… Mind you, we’re in April and this post is only comming out now!

What can I say? I like it this way. I feel powerful thinking of all the things I am capable of accomplishing. Temporary and (de)illusional power, but I like it.

For 2023 I will: read 20+ books, lose 15kg, run a 10k outdoor race, double my savings.
