Careful What You Wish For

Thank you, for popping by.

This will be an incredibly boring post, just to get me and my gears moving, aiming to get back at what might some day resemble a decent piece of writing.

Truth of the matter is I am still lost at what I have to say. Do I want to write about style and fashion? Do I want to share the adventure of living as an immigrant? Do I want to venture into a better understanding of the life, the universe, and everything else?

Maybe all of the above.

For now, let me tell you about my day.

I woke up early, as I like to do – around 5:30. Went downstairs to make myself some filtered coffee, which I prefer to the Nespresso pods. I think it has more drinkability and therefore allows me to have a couple of mug-fulls without bouncing up the walls while everyone is asleep. Also, it makes me less anxious. As everyone at home is feeling a bit ill with the cold weather settling in, I went back up to the office trying to not disturb anyone on my way.

I read my cards (The Fool showed up) and decided to get my planner organized. I am having a bit of trouble with keeping up with regularly planning my days – mostly because life has been a bit chaotic and I haven’t been planning for that. Seems weird but, yeah, plan for the unplanned. Also, I think I have invested too much on a nice Pinterest-style planner. And the thought of getting all my stationary paraphernalia out simply to jot down “pay for school lunches” just makes me give the whole thing up. So I’m trying to simplify and find out what works for me at a maintanable manner.

Moving on, I printed some Christmas cards, gave the boys their Lego advent Calendars, made a quick visit to the gym and went to Aldi to get a Christmas Tree. A real one! I know, I feel properly Christmas-y with one of those in the house. Now it sits in the dinning room to open up so I can decorate tomorrow with all the novelty baubles we have.

That was my morning.

By the end of the day, I’ll say I didn’t get much done. And my move ring will be barely half-way completed. And I will still think I don’t have a lot going on.

Hopefully in time, I will have better ideas to share instead of wasting your precious time. But for now, I must say, I’m quite pleased with taking the first step.

See you soon.

  1. “By the end of the day I’ll say I didn’t get much done” – oh how silly they made us.

  2. I enjoyed reading your blog. It’s good to get the creative juices flowing, and you showed humour in your writing, which is really difficult to do well- which you did! Also, I’d say that was quite a busy day, all in all!
